Harford Honey has been in existence since 2006. Joe Lewis, U.S. Army Retired, raises honey bee colonies and collects honey once a year. All Harford Honey bee colonies are located within Harford County, Maryland and are raised naturally. Most of the colonies are located on farms and secluded fields, away from traffic and the local populus.
Our various types of honey are defined by the pollen the honey bees collect during a particular season. For instance, a honey bee colony located in an orange grove will produce Orange Blossom honey. This is also true for blueberry patches and wildflower fields. Farmers will often request numbers of honey bee colonies during a season to pollinate their crops. Honey bees are constantly in use all over the United States in order to assist farmers in pollinating their produce crops.
We encourage you to try all of our varieties of honey. You are welcome to order from this website, or find our honey at local stores in Harford County, Maryland at Nature's Pantry in Parkville and Karen's Natural Foods in Havre de Grace.
